Storage & Serving Tips
How to Store
Store Fourth of July fruit salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. For the freshest texture, it is best served the same day it is made.
Can You Make It Ahead?
Yes. You can cut the watermelon and wash the berries ahead of time. Store each fruit separately, then combine and dress the salad shortly before serving.
Best Party Tip
Keep the dressing separate until 15 to 30 minutes before serving. This keeps the watermelon from releasing too much juice and helps the berries stay pretty.
What to Serve With It
Serve with grilled chicken, burgers, BBQ skewers, sandwiches, corn on the cob, pasta salad, yogurt dip, lemonade, iced tea, or a Fourth of July dessert board.
