This tree is highly medicinal… but hardly anyone eats its fruit anymore 👀

🦠 4. Mulberry Juice Has Directly Inhibited Influenza Viruses in the Laboratory
The dark fruit has demonstrated an unexpected type of biological activity.
Researchers tested Morus alba juice against several influenza viruses, including H1N1, H3N2, and influenza B.
The juice inhibited multiple strains when it was present before or during viral exposure, and its antiviral activity was considerably stronger than the Mulberry seed preparation tested alongside it.
Researchers also identified cyanidin-3-rutinoside as the dominant polyphenol in the juice, while gallic acid, present in smaller amounts, demonstrated notable antiviral activity of its own.
This doesn’t mean drinking Mulberry juice treats the flu.
But laboratory studies show that compounds concentrated in the fruit can directly interfere with influenza viruses.
