- 12 ounces pasta
- 1 large bunch Swiss chard, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Reserved pasta water, as needed
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add Swiss chard and cook until wilted.
- Pour in cream and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until coated.
- Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
